PV Sindhu Loses Final Battle, Satisfied with Silver Medal in Olympics

Telugu girl Poosarla Venkata Sindhu emerged as the first ever Indian woman shuttler to have clinched the silver medal in Olympics.

Shouldering the burden of hopes of a billion of Indians, Telugu girl Poosarla Venkata Sindhu locked horns with world number one Carolina Martin of Spain in Rio Olympics held a couple of minutes ago. Bringing cheers to Indians, Sindhu registered the magnificent win of the first game with 21-19 lead.

It was a heart-wrenching situation when Carolina clinched the second game by 21-12 lead. The combat has become a tug of war in the third game. Yet, the initial lead of Carolina was maintained throughout the game and all the attempts of Sindhu's went in vain and she lost the game to Carolina with 15-21.

Although Sindhu lost the final battle, she won the hearts of everyone with her zeal, determination and perseverance in achieving her goal. She has scripted a new history in Olympics. This Telugu girl made Indians feel proud of her achievement.
