Sai Baba of Shirdi was an Indian spiritual master, who is being worshiped by crores of Indians as a saint, Fakir, Satguru and as a God. However, Shankaracharya of Dwarakapeeth, Swroopanand Saraswathi's comments on Shirdi Sai Baba in 2014 stirred the controversy. Swamiji proclaimed Sai Baba was not a God. He also called for the Hindus to worship Hindu Gods rather Shirdi Sai Baba. Many devotees of Sai Baba expressed their anger on Swamiji then.
And today an interesting debate was telecasted by a top TV news channel for 4 hours and 30 minutes. Govindananda of Pampa Peeth and Ramanananda Maharshi of Sai Baba Sansthan have participated in the debate.
Each minute of the debating program was very interesting and thought provoking. It appeared to be the battle between Sanathan Dharma of Vedas and present day people's beliefs on Gurus. Keeping aside the topic discussed, it has been understood how to participate and how not to participate in the discussions. Especially, Govindananda's way to defend his point is very much useful for those people who want to develop their soft skills and communication skills.
Govindananda had great command on his subject. He retorted every question posed to him quite well and has asked interesting questions to his opponent. In contrast his opponent lost his temper many times, which was not supposed to be done by the participants in debates.
