High budget films involving star heroes and top production banners are going bizarre with their planning. There was a golden phase in past when directors used to plan schedules upfront and used to keep their body, soul and spirit to make producers smile in profits. These days nowhere do we see directors and heroes worried about pathetic situation of producers! Very rarely we have seen big films meeting release deadlines.
Lazy directors and lethargically moving heroes should be blamed for it. After ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ suffered heavily with this kind of attitude, now we hear the same to be happening for Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam.’ According to an update, hero Mahesh Babu and producer Prasad V Potluri have stopped PRO from announcing release date.
While Mahesh wanted the film to be released on May 20th at any cost, PVP isn’t sure of getting first copy ready by then because there’s 10 more days of shoot left and major post production works also in pending. Forwarding a copy to Censor Board and then dispatching prints to overseas locations making sure that premiere shows are screened on time; all this will generally lead to last minute rush. So, Mahesh hasn’t locked the release date yet the news on May 20th as the unofficial date is making rounds. One does not know what is director Srikant Addala doing till this last hour?
