Under 'Operation Akarsh' scheme, the ruling TDP opened its doors for the entry of opposition party's MLAs to TDP. As of now 13 MLAs stood as the defectors joining the TDP. While the TDP's leaders defending their act proclaiming that the MLAs lost trust on the opposition party and developed faith on Chandrababu Naidu's administration, political analysts and opposition party's leaders are bashing the defectors that they were bribed by the TDP.
It was gossiped by the opposition parties that each MLA has been paid Rs.10 crores to Rs.30 crores and a ministerial or an equal post for the MLAs. According to political analysts TDP has chosen wrong path by encouraging defectors. " TDP's gesture leads to sympathy on the opposition party. TDP may also face shocking political developments from charismatic leaders in 2019. If that is the case, all the money spent by the TDP remains to be wasted and yields no results," says an analyst.
