It has been a common practice a movie that crosses Rs.50 crores share in Tollywood is treated as either a blockbuster or a super hit. However, first time in the history of Tollywood, a Telugu film that jointed Rs.50 crores share elite club is being treated as a disaster. And the movie is none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyan's 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh'.
Amidst sky high expectations, 'SGS', hit the screens on April 8 and carried negative talk on the day one of its release. In spite of the disaster talk the movie accumulated Rs.31.30 crores share on the day one of its release. At the end of its first weekend run the film collected 40 crores. The movie collected close to 50 crores share at the end of its first week's run. Earlier, Mega Power Star Ram Charan's 'Bruce Lee' collected Rs.40 crores with disaster talk.
Though disappointed with the results of recent mega films, mega fans are optimistic about the upcoming films of mega heroes. According to them average to success talk is enough for mega heroes to break the records with their films.
