The damage done to Akkineni brand with bad entry of Akkineni Akhil with ‘Akhil’ movie is now completely nullified with stupendous success in ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana.’ In fact, Nagarjuna is quite cautious when coming to planning the career of both his sons. As mistakes do happen very commonly in cinema industry either with wrong planning or misleading execution, hence ‘Akhil’ left a scar on Akkineni compound.
However, Nagarjuna’s clever selection of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ story and director Kalyan Krishna wonderfully paid. As per trade sources, Nizam region distributor (Global Cinemas) who lost heavily (hero Nithin, his dad Sudhakar Reddy are partners in this firm) on ‘Akhil’ are now happily recovering with ‘SCN.’
It is also a wonderful gesture from Nagarjuna, producer of SCN to sell Nizam area distribution rights on mutual profit sharing basis with safe commission. Looks like audience and trade circles have forgotten the bad memories of ‘Akhil’ with this Nagarjuna’s super hit film.
