Ever since the announcement of Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh, the AP state government has been incurring money for unnecessary reasons instead of putting sincere efforts on to the development of the AP's capital.
According to the reports from various journos from media, the CM and his ministers have wasted hundreds of crores for foreign tours and spending money for luxurious guest houses and villas. Besides, sanction of Rs.300 crores for secretariat building in Amaravati has been highly criticized.
And now, the latest G.O.released by the AP's government has been severely lambasted by the critics. According to this, students, who are studying in government schools and colleges, should pay Rs.10 each for Amaravati's construction. Altogether, the government gets Rs.7 crores from the poor students. Maybe this is a wise decision involving the people of AP for the building up of new capital, from the government's point of view. But then the government needs to reveal the complete details of expenditures put in for the luxuries of the ministers and the CM. Moreover, there is a need cabinet ministers working under the shades of trees in no man's land, the Amaravati, as CM, himself, proclaimed to do it some time ago.
