VV Vinayak never behaved so insensible in dealing a subject as what we have seen in ‘Akhil.’ Although his last few projects remained either flops or average grossing films with producers and buyers suffering losses, what made Nagarjuna and Nithin to assign the ‘Akhil’ assignment is his impeccable ability to shoot high voltage action scenes elevating the heroism in equivalence with emotion and comedy.
However, ‘Akhil’ dented Vinayak’s image a lot and Akkineni Fans are attacking him for poor direction and disorderly screenplay. When tried to sneer on investigating the reasons behind Vinayak’s unpropitious taking for this project, it is informed that he was never at his best of mental strength while working during production and pre production. Demise of Vinayak’s mother just few weeks before ‘Akhil’ shooting actually took-off was always an under-lying emotional factor to decrease his energy.
In fact, Vinayak early on explained plenty of drawbacks in the script in pre-production stages. Under Vinayak’s absence on grounds of personal reasons, producer Nithin failed to understand those trivial problems which today amplified the failure result. ‘Akhil’ never had a VV Vinayak flavor in it. This is no way comparable to ‘Aadi, Tagore, Lakshmi, Krishna, Adhura’ or even ‘Naayak.’
