The latest media report on Super Star Rajinikanth’s next assignment with director Shankar in the form of ‘Robot 2’ to have an anonymous foreign producer is really a shocker for his Fans in South India. Till now, many top producers from Bollywood and South have shown interest to work with Rajini spending bomb of budgets matching his style and charisma. When Shankar announced of working on ‘Robot 2’ script, the news has become a topic of National interest because ‘Robot’ was a worldwide hit film.
Anyways, Shankar later delivered a commercial failure ‘I’ with mighty producer Aascar Ravichandran wherein a budget of more than Rs.100 Crore was put at stake. Unfortunately, Shankar neither showed his trademark treatment nor quality screenplay which led to fall in his credentials. As ‘Robot 2’ needs around Rs.250+ Crores budget, obviously Shankar needed someone again like Kalanithi Maran to produce it.
As ‘I’ failure deterred many Indian producers to step back, Shankar is forced to rope in a foreign producer for this high budget technical extravaganza. Though further details are yet to roll out, Shankar and Rajinikanth ‘Robot 2’ is going to be a special movie entire world would look at.
