Latterly, some of the big filmmakers seem to have been exhibiting dual standards. While promoting their films, they go overboard in boasting about their films. They never hesitate comparing their movies with Hollywood and Bollywood's top rated movies. Also they pump in huge bucks in their projects to erase the barrier of international and regional films. Eventually, their publicity is at peaks which is more than like anything.
However, there is nothing wrong in promoting and boasting about their movies to the core. In fact, this is the must for any filmmaker to market his project. Since these movies are said to be equal in standards of Hollywood and Bollywood films, obviously there will be comparison in collections and statuses of these films with Bollywood and other industries' projects and the makers should welcome the comparisons being made. Instead they are heard to have been arguing that theirs are just regional films and should not compare them with Bollywood films which have wider space of viewing. But then, why should they forget these facts during the promotions of their films?
