These People Have No Right to Rule

We are currently living in such a society which appeared to have been being ruled by some publicity and caste based people. It is the biggest tragedy in AP that 35 people, who wanted to perform sacred rituals in Godavari Pushkaralu, lost their lives.

But then, who are the culprits of this great tragedy of AP? Everyone feels the CM Chandrababu Naidu is responsible for his irresponsible means of administration. When there was a special VIP ghat provided for politicians and celebrities, why should he perform puja in Kotagummam pushkara ghat? Can't it be termed as a publicity stunt and mania? People were restricted for five to six hours to get them taken a holy dip, just because of CBN's puja. Had he offered prayers at VIP ghat, this tragedy couldn't have happened.

On the other hand, pundits protested a couple of days ago that late politicians statues should not be installed at Pushkara Ghats as the holy atmosphere would be lost in the ghats. However, the government has never paid heed to their words and spent crores of rupees for the installation of the statues. "Unfortunately, the tragedy occurred in the same spot, wherein the statues were installed," said the Congress party's president Raghuveera Reddy.

The government publicized that they had spent Rs.2000 crores for Godavari Pushkaralu. However, many devotees complained that they couldn't even get drinking water. Whose pockets has the money gone? CBN says he would be staying all 12 days of pushkaralu in Rajahmundry. This is quite ridiculous. If he stays there, all the officials pay concentration on the facilities to be arranged for CBN and neglect peoples' care.

And lastly, media's role in the entire issue cannot be forgotten that easier. A 9 rated channel worried about the tears shed by CBN rather than to the tears of pilgrims who were deprived and grieved of the deaths of their near and dear. The media desperately, tried to rescue CBN from this problem just for caste based reasons. All in all, it appears politicians who prefer publicity stunts have no right to rule.
