Polling day of teacher MLC constituencies happens to be on 22nd of March. According to a leading Telugu daily's report, the ruling TDP is encouraging the candidates who are being supported by them to distribute money and gifts to voters. The newspaper abuzz that the TDP's MLC candidate from Krishna-Guntur constituency lets his followers to distribute Rs.3 to 5 thousands to lure the voters.
The candidate supported by TDP in East and West Godavari constituencies is heard to have distributed six silver glasses worth Rs.5000 to voters. It is learnt that the TDP's rebel and a teacher's union's candidate have an edge comparing to TDP's candidate in East and West Godavari constituency. Anyways, the verdict of the voters will be known on 27th of this month, as it happens to be the counting day of the elections.
