Ever since Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Lingaa' has gone on sets, the movie had to face many hurdles during its shoot and even after the shoot is wrapped up. There were allegations on the team that they were polluting the dam by dumping plastics in it. Later, the movie faced complaints on the charges of plagiarism. However, the makers have succussfully come out of all those issues.
And the movie falls again in troubled waters. Balaji Studios, who acquired Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Indra's remake rights long ago, have filed a petition in the court alleging that 'Lingaa's story was copied from 'Indra'. The court's postponed the case further on 12th December, which fall as the release date of 'Lingaa'. The court also rejected the plea of petitioners to issue stay on the release of the movie. According to the observers, the 'dam construction' scenes of both the movie, may somehow, be similar, but the story and the genres of both the movies are completely different.
