Allu Ramalingaih; The Real Legend

Did you know? If all the members of mega family rendered their services as great actors and technicians, Allu Ramalingaih, apart from being a legendary comedy artist, proved to be the great patriot during the struggle for Indian Independence. He was arrested by the British government during Quit India movement and was sent into prison for some time. Allu Ramalingaiah was a homeopathic doctor as well.

Having made his debut with 'Puttillu' in 1953, Allu Ramalingaiah continued his career till 2004 as an actor. Rao Gopala Rao and Allu's combo was a terrific combo to generate hilarious comedy. Many songs, which were shot on Allu Ramalingaiah, were great hits. He was last seen in the movie 'Jai'. He was honoured with Padma Shri award by the Government of India and with Raghupathi Venkaiah Award by  AP state's government. The Government of India issued a postal stamp on Allu Ramalingaiah in 2013 for his services to Indian Cinema.

Today is the 10th death anniversary of Allu Ramalingaiah. Tributes to the real legend of tollywood!
