Srikrishnadevarayalu was the best ever emperor down South in the history of India. Unfortunately, no movies have been made based on the complete biography of the emperor. Although late NTR was seen as 'Krishnadevaraya' in the movies like 'Tenali Ramakrishna' and 'Mahamantri Thimmarusu', the protagonists were ANR as 'Ramakrishna' and Gummadi as 'Thimmarusu' in respective movies. Balakrishna was also seen in the get up of 'Krishnadevaraya' in 'Aditya 369', but his presence was restricted only for 30 minutes in the movie. Moreover, it was a socio fantasy entertainer.
Given his huge fan base, great legacy, superb talents as an equestrian, sword fights and all other skills which are required to play emperor role, the stamina to make average projects as blockbusters, Mega Power Star Ram Charan is considered to be an ultimate star for playing 'Krishnadevarayalu' role among the present generation heroes.
According to the reports of some popular news agencies, Ram Charan will be playing the role of Srikrishnadevarayalu next year. Ashutosh Gowariker, who earlier directed 'Lagaan' and 'Jodha Akbar', will be directing this historical entertainer. This project will go on floors in the later half of next year. Currently, Ashutosh is doing a movie with Hrithik Roshan. He will take up Ram Charan's project next. In the meanwhile, Ram Charan will complete all of his commitments.
