Union Minister Chiranjeevi's Prajarajyam party got 18% of votes and won 18 MLA seats. Though its undoubtedly a good performance for a budding political party, as far as Chiranjeevi's stature is concerned, it was said to be a failure. There are several reasons for the party's failure. According to the political analysts, media's hate propaganda, jealousy of some of the people on Chiranjeevi's craze, caste factors, lack of sufficient money are said to be the reasons for the party's failure.
Some more keen observers are pointing one more cause of PRP's defeat. Chiranjeevi has allowed some of his very close aides to campaign for the party. But their speeches appeared to be so rude and arrogant. In fact, Chiranjeevi wished to play a gentleman role in politics and such a way his speeches appeared to be dignified and humble. Although he criticized other political parties, he has never gone overboard by abusing them. But the above said close sources gave an appearance to the party as 'Party of Arrogants'. It ultimately showed its negative impact on the results.
