What Went Wrong with Seemandhra Agitations?

Ever since the Congress High Command had taken the decision of bifurcating the state, there were intensified agitations across the Seemandhra region. Almost all the political parties and people from different sections participated in the agitations quite actively. AP NGOs went on historical strike for 66 days. Even then, all those agitations finally turned futile, as the Lok Sabha approved state division. But why those agitations failed? Following are said to be the reasons.

* The agitators targeted only 'Seemandhra Kendramantrulu' and ignored other politicians.

* If the agitators demanded CM's resignation, there would have been constitutional crisis in the state and thus the state's division would have been stopped.

* Chandrababu Naidu is said to be the first sinner of state's division. However, he happily visited many places of Seemandhra and faced very less number of protests against him.

* There were gossips that Lagadapati, Ashok Babu and the CM formed themselves a group and went on their own strategies.

* Media also targeted only Seemandhra ministers and ignored other politicians.

* Most of the leaders of these agitations belonged to one or two particular groups.
