Tamil Superstar Rajnikanth's period drama 'Kochadaiiyaan' and its Telugu version 'Vikramasimha' are gearing up for release on 12th December, on the eve of the actor's birthday. Since the movie has been made with a whopping budget, obviously this film turns out to be a threat for other big releases both in Tamil Nadu and AP as well. At the time of 'Robo' release, Prince Mahesh Babu's 'Khaleja' was released. 'Khaleja' was made with great substance with good entertainment. However, the movie tasted disaster result due to 'Robo'. Audiences, then, felt 'Robo' as something like a magic show due to its visual effects and made the movie a blockbuster in Telugu. Since some of the big movies of Telugu are being planned for release in the month of December, they have to face a big competition from 'Vikramasimha' as this movie was also given prime importance to visual effects and motion capture technology in 3D format.
Deepika Padukone has done opposite to Rajnikanth in this movie. AR Rahman has scored the music of the film. Soundarya Ashwin directed the movie on Eros International.
