Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath on Monday accused TDP leader Gali Muddu Krishnamma Naidu of being the "allegations king".
Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Sailajanath said that Gali has been leveling baseless allegations against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and his brother over withdrawal of VAT from the textiles traders. He said that the decision to withdraw the VAT was taken after a Group of Ministers studied the issue and interacted with all the concerned. However, accusing the Chief Minister of taking bribe to scrap VAT was highly condemnable, he said.
Sailajanath said that the Gali was habitual of leveling allegations the political opponents. While with the Congress party, he accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of having illegal assets of over Rs 2,000 crore. However, after joining the TDP, he started targeting the Congress leaders.
The minister also dismissed the reports of difference between the Chief Minister and his deputy Damodar Rajanarasimha.
