'IFFI' did a right thing on Tollywood!

International Film Festival of India( IFFI) had to face criticisms from some of the tollywood film fraternity, as the organizers ignored Telugu eminent film personalities and tollywood movies in the 42nd IFFI, Goa. Hero Balakrishna reportedly fought on this issue through an English newspaper and finally, managed himself to be the part of the closing ceremony of the festival. Interestingly, he mentioned the names of his favourite filmy personalities and ignored his rivals even though they are real legends of tollywood.

In contrast to the above criticisms, IFFI is being defended by some of the tollywood people. According to them, politics and groupism are being indulged in many occasions of tollywood. "As far as Nandi awards are taken into consideration, the panel to be appointed by the government itself being criticized by the analysts. Hardly, do we see a capable hero gets Nandi best actor award. Most of the times recommendations work out well. If we, the Telugu people, cannot recognize our real talents, how can an IFFI recognize us? Perhaps, that's why nowhere tollywood is seen in national awards as well," opines a filmy analyst.
