Latest news roaming in film circles about the actual reason behind delay in the release of 'Damarukam' is 'Financial Crisis' of producer R. Venkat Reddy. While everyone knows, how wealthy this man from RR Movie Makers is, it is hard for many to digest that 'Damarukam' still needs nearly Rs. 13 Crores of funds to get into theatres. Apparently, Venkat who has spent nearly Rs. 28 Crores much above the commercial capacity of Nagarjuna is no more in a position to invest. So, he wants hero Nagarjuna, distributors Dil Raju, Dasari Narayana Rao, co-producer Atchi Reddy to pool the needful money and get it released.
Basically, R. Venkat has also lost huge money distributing 'Dhada' of Nag's son Chaitanya and from then on he was aversed to the idea of risking high budget on 'Damarukam.' Close reports from film circles say that, Nag is also showing no interest on this and stood away managing his work for 'Love Story' and 'Bhai.'
