Loka Nayakudu Kamal Hasan is going to prove that he is the material of International quality. Proving himself commercially and critically with in India, Kamal is ready to go international by making his Hollywood debut with 'The Lord of the Rings' producer Barrie Osborne. Both Kamal and Osborne announced their tie-up for producing a film at ongoing International Indian Film Academy (IIFA). Kamal said, 'world has seen his work. You keep doing hard work but you are not sure if it is good work. It is only after people like Barrie approach you and make you realise. The lineage which Barrie comes is close to my heart. All the heroes that I have looked up to have worked with him. He has worked with champions of Hollywood like Cappola .'
Osborne's notable works include, 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, The Waterhorse, The Warrior's Way and The Prophet.' Quiclkly Osborne hinted on what kind of subject he is doing with Kamal. 'Story of Indian history and tradition will be dealt in Hollywood style. Kamal is like a cinema encyclopedia. Its my pleasure to meet Kamal over the years. Recently, he came Hollywood to work on his new film 'Vishwaroopam.' When, I was invited to see the film I was impressed and then started to talk about the idea of working together and are exploring different avenues. '
