Aamir Khan, hailed as the Mr. Perfectionist went into a silent mode after he got a huge shock in Lal Singh Chaddha. Now he is once again pressing the accelerator and already busy with Taare Zameen Par sequel, Sitare Zameen Par.
Few months back we reported that Aamir Khan is looking down south to score hits after south directors proved their mettle across the country. Rumours spread that Aamir would be teaming with Kollywood director Lokesh Kanagaraj and the project will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.
However, things didnot materialise and later it came out that Tollywood director Vamsi Paidipally narrated a line to Aamir Khan and he loved it completely and gave the green singal. At that time reports came that the project will be bankrolled by Dil Raju.
Now reports are coming that the project will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. It is known that Mythri Movie Makers tasted first blood in Bollywood when the project Jaat they bankrolled featuring Sunny Deol and directed by Gopichand Malineni turned out to be a superhit.
Vamsi Paidipally is known for his commercial and message oriented entertainers and he recently directed Vijay's Varisu which turned out to be a hit.
Now speaking about his role in Sitare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan said "My character in Taare Zameen Par was Nikumb, who is a very sensitive person. In this film my character’s name is Gulshan but his personality is exactly opposite to Nikumbh. He is not sensitive at all. He is very rude, politically incorrect and he insults everybody. He fights with his wife, mother. He is a basketball coach and he beats up his senior coach. He is a person with a lot of internal problems, and the story is how he changes with the film. How these people in the spectrum teach him what it is to be a good human being.”
He added , “I am working on a film now [Sitaare Zameen Par] which is almost ready. It is the sequel of Taare Zameen Par. Thematically, it is going ten steps ahead. It is about people who are differently abled. It is about love, friendship and life. Taare Zameen Par made you cry but this film will make you laugh. It’s a comedy but the theme is the same.”
Aamir Khan confirmed that the film is a remake of Spanish hit Champions.
