Ajay Devgn And Aamir Khan Teases About Sequel Of Much Loved Ishq

AD, AK Hints At Sequel To Their Film

Bollywood superstars Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan have sparked excitement among fans by hinting at a sequel to their iconic 1997 romantic comedy, Ishq. During the mahurat launch of director Indra Kumar's son Aman's upcoming movie Tera Yaar Hoon Main, Devgn suggested, "We had so much fun on the sets of Ishq, we should do another one," and Khan readily agreed, "Yes, we should".

As they reminisced about their Ishq filming experience, Khan shared a hilarious incident where Devgn saved him from a chimpanzee attack during a scene. Devgn playfully countered that Khan's actions provoked the chimpanzee, saying, "He was spraying water on the chimpanzee and then ran around, shouting 'bachao bachao' like a girl". This lighthearted exchange showcased the camaraderie between the two actors.

Ishq, directed by Indra Kumar, was a massive commercial success, grossing over ₹456.1 million worldwide and becoming the third-highest-grossing Hindi film of 1997. The film's plot revolves around two wealthy friends who despise the poor, but their children's love lives challenge their views, leading to a war between love and money. Ishq boasted an impressive cast, including Juhi Chawla and Kajol as female leads, along with Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Dalip Tahil, and Mohan Joshi in supporting roles.
