"They Don't Hold a Grudge" - On Refusing Roles from Salman, Akshay, and Ranbir

In a candid conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana Ranaut addressed her past interactions with prominent Bollywood actors, shedding light on her reasons for rejecting roles in their films.

Despite her outspoken nature and public comments, Kangana maintains that these actors harbor no resentment toward her. She cited examples like Salman Khan offering her roles in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Sultan," which she declined due to dissatisfaction with the offered roles.

She recalled Salman's reaction, "He said, 'Ab isse zyada kya role chahiye. Heroines ka aesa hi role hota hai (What better role do you want. Heroines get such roles).'" Similarly, Ranbir Kapoor approached her personally, requesting her participation in "Sanju," which she also turned down.

Kangana's rejection of Akshay Kumar's offers in films like "Singh Is Bliing" led to a humorous exchange. Akshay expressed suspicion, "Tu na mere saath hi kaam nahi karna chahti hai. Tereko na mujhse koi problem hai (You don't want to work only with me. You have a problem with me)." Kangana assured him, "Sir, sach mein mujhe koi problem nahi hai (Sir, I genuinely don't have a problem)."

Kangana attributes her open communication and refusal to compromise on her artistic integrity as the reason for these actors' understanding and lack of animosity. "People are very kind to me that way. Because I think somewhere they recognise that, 'Kangana isn't speaking for her little gain'," she shared.

She went on to highlight Salman's kindness, stating, "Salman is so kind he keeps talking to me." This underscores the amicable nature of their relationship despite the past disagreements.

This revelation adds a new dimension to Kangana's public persona, highlighting her commitment to her principles and artistic choices. It also sheds light on the intricacies of the Bollywood industry, where professional differences do not always translate into personal animosity.
