RC16:Vijay Sethupathi not Interested

Versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly declined an offer to play a fatherly role in Ram Charan's upcoming film with director Buchi Babu, citing concerns about typecasting. Despite being offered a significant amount of money, Sethupathi opted out of the project, seeking to explore different roles in Telugu cinema.

According to sources, Sethupathi had already played fatherly roles in "Maharaja" and "Uppena", and was eager to take on new challenges. The makers subsequently approached Kannada superstar Shivraj Kumar, who agreed to play the pivotal role alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor.

Sethupathi's decision comes on the heels of his massive success with "Maharaja", which has become the biggest hit of his career, grossing over Rs 10 crores in Telugu-speaking regions. The film's success has also led to a growing fan base for Sethupathi among Telugu audiences.
