Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film, The GOAT- Greatest of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is generating buzz ahead of its September 5 release. In an exclusive conversation with media, Venkat Prabhu revealed the plot of the film, confirming it to be fictional yet close to reality. The story revolves around an anti-terrorist squad called SATS, which works with the RAW agency, and follows former members of SATS as they reunite to tackle a challenge.
Contrary to speculations, The GOAT will not have a sci-fi angle, instead focusing on the thrilling aspects of an anti-terrorist squad. As Venkat Prabhu's first film with Vijay, expectations are high, especially since Vijay will be taking on a political role after this film. The cast includes Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ajmal Ameer, and others.
The thriller is inspired by the 2004 Moscow Metro bombing and promises to be an intense ride. Produced by AGS Entertainment, The GOAT marks Vijay's 68th film, with music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Vijay will be seen sporting two looks in the film, with the younger version achieved through de-aging technology.
