Bollywood Insecure: Asks Prabhas to Retire

North people talk of Prabhas retirement

A recent tweet claiming Prabhas is "overrated" and should have retired after "Baahubali 2" has sparked a debate on social media, particularly among Hindi cinema fans. While the tweet has gained significant traction, with nearly a million views, it fails to acknowledge the unique position Prabhas occupies in Indian cinema.

The argument that Prabhas is "overrated" ignores the fact that he consistently takes on ambitious, high-budget films that even Bollywood A-listers wouldn't dare to attempt. "Kalki," for example, is a film of such grand scale that it could only be carried by an actor like Prabhas. Similarly, the action-packed "Salaar" demands a charisma and screen presence that few actors possess, with perhaps only Hrithik Roshan coming close.

Prabhas' willingness to explore different genres, from historical epics to action-dramas, sets him apart from many of his contemporaries. He doesn't shy away from risky ventures, proving his commitment to offering audiences something new and exciting. This approach is evident in the consistently strong opening numbers of his films, with the exception of "Radhe Shyam."

While his filmography might not always be perfect, Prabhas has consistently garnered audience trust through his commitment to delivering impactful performances. The criticism from certain Hindi film followers fails to recognize the unique space Prabhas occupies in the industry and the risks he takes to entertain audiences. His ability to deliver blockbuster openings and generate considerable buzz for every new project speaks volumes about his star power and the audience's continued faith in him.
