Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan is reportedly set to star in the upcoming Telugu action film "Kaantha," where he could be paired with the talented Krithi Shetty of "Uppena" fame.
While discussions are ongoing, the potential pairing has ignited excitement among Telugu audiences, as it would mark a fresh and unique collaboration between two highly admired actors. "It would be a refreshing pairing for sure," shares a source close to the production.
"Kaantha" is being produced by Rana Daggubati and helmed by Selvamani Selvaraj, whose impressive resume includes the award-winning debut feature "Nila" (2016) and the Netflix documentary series "The Hunt for Veerappan."
This would be Dulquer's second Telugu film after the critically acclaimed "Mahanati," where he shared the screen with Keerthy Suresh. He is also currently working on "Lucky Bhaskar," another Telugu venture.
Krithi Shetty, meanwhile, continues to ascend in Tollywood, having worked with prominent actors like Naga Chaitanya, Ram Pothineni, and Tamil stars Karthi and Jayama Ravi. She recently impressed audiences with her performance in "Manamey" alongside Sharwanand.
"She is a good mix of beauty and talent," observes the source, highlighting Krithi's growing appeal and versatility.
If confirmed, the "Kaantha" collaboration promises a compelling on-screen chemistry between Dulquer and Krithi, further raising anticipation for the ambitious action film.
