Bharateeyudu 2 Telugu rights sold for fancy sum

Speculation on B 2 Telugu rights

The highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 blockbuster "Bharateeyudu" has sparked major interest in the Telugu film industry. Reports indicate that the Telugu dubbing rights of both "Indian 2" and its Telugu adaptation "Bharateeyudu 2" have been acquired for a staggering Rs. 20 crore.

The film, also known as "Hindustani 2" in Hindi, has faced several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and an unfortunate accident on set. However, after nearly five years of production, "Indian 2" is finally gearing up for a grand release on July 12th, in multiple languages, including Telugu.

The massive sum paid for the Telugu rights reflects the high expectations for the film. Telugu distributors are anticipating huge box office numbers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, given the popularity of the original "Bharateeyudu" and director Shankar's strong track record in the region.
