MM Keeravani, the Oscar-winning composer known for his work on SS Rajamouli's "RRR," is back in Bollywood after a considerable hiatus. He will be composing music for a film starring Divya Khosla Kumar, the actress-wife of Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series.
The film, produced by Prerna Arora, is a modern adaptation of the classic tale of "Sati Savitri," and is currently being shot in Hyderabad. Keeravani's decision to take on this project comes after his recent work on "Love Me," directed by Ashish Reddy and produced by Dil Raju, faced criticism for its music. The film unfortunately failed at the box office, adding to Ashish Reddy's string of unsuccessful ventures.
Despite the lukewarm reception of "Love Me," Keeravani's recent Oscar win for "Naatu Naatu" from "RRR" cemented his status as a global music icon. This upcoming film, with its unique premise and a leading lady from one of Bollywood's most prominent production houses, promises to be a significant project for the renowned composer.
