Kalyan Krishna was supposed to direct Naa Saami Ranga. According to reliable industry sources, the seasoned star Nagarjuna expressed a strong desire to collaborate with his favorite director, Kalyan Krishna, for his latest venture, 'Naa Saami Ranga.' Nagarjuna, appreciative of Kalyan Krishna's expertise in delivering compelling village-centric movies, initiated discussions with the director.
However, it seems that after a series of meetings, Kalyan Krishna expressed some reluctance, expressing his disinclination towards directing another village-based film. Respecting Kalyan Krishna's creative stance, Nagarjuna graciously acquiesced and subsequently brought on board another director, Vijay Binni, for the project, as per inside sources.
A source close to the development suggests that while Vijay Binni is undoubtedly skilled, Kalyan Krishna, with his profound understanding of rural narratives, characters, and emotional nuances, might have crafted a superior entertainer. "Kalyan Krishna has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to portraying stories set in rural landscapes, with compelling characters and emotional highs. It seems he missed out on a significant opportunity," the source commented.
Looking ahead, Kalyan Krishna is redirecting his focus towards an upcoming film with megastar Chiranjeevi, tailoring a script to complement the larger-than-life image of the 'Tagore' star. The director aims to kick off filming after April this year, with aspirations to deliver a wholesome entertainer. Kalyan Krishna, celebrated for his successes like 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' and 'Bangarraju,' as well as the hit 'Rarandoi Veduka Chudam' with Nagarjuna, has established a strong bond with the Akkineni family. Known for his expertise in creating family dramas enriched with romance, music, and entertainment, Kalyan Krishna continues to be a formidable force in the Telugu film industry.
