Babu Jagjivan Ram Biopic in full swing.Telugu cine director Dileep Raja provided insights into the ongoing filming of "Babuji," a biopic portraying the life of former deputy prime minister Babu Jagjivan Ram.
The current shooting location in Pedaravuru, near Tenali in Guntur district, focuses on Jagjivan Ram's native Chandwa village in Bihar, constituting the second schedule of the film. Dileep Raja emphasized the meticulous recreation of Chandwa, devoid of electricity lines or modern infrastructure, to authentically capture historical moments.
Highlighting the technical precision, Dileep Raja expressed that Babu Jagjivan Ram's impactful political journey is being portrayed with utmost attention to detail.
Military Prasad, an ex-serviceman of the Indian Army, takes on the role of Jagjivan Ram, while senior actress Talluri Rameshwari portrays Meira Kumar, Babuji’s daughter and former Lok Sabha speaker.
Dileep Raja further revealed the significant roles of historical figures like Gandhiji, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Babu Rajendra Prasad, Indira Gandhi, and Lal Bahadur Shastri in the movie.
The director announced plans for a nationwide release in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, once shooting, editing, and other technical aspects are completed. The cast features actors from these diverse linguistic backgrounds, adding to the biopic's cultural richness.
