Scheduled for release on the 29th of December, Safed promises a poignant narrative that sheds light on the struggles faced by widows, especially young girls.
Reflecting on her transition from South films to Bollywood, Meera expressed, "I made the decision to shift my focus from South films to Bollywood in 2014. The language barrier and a sense of dissatisfaction led me to explore new opportunities in Hindi cinema. I was keen on diversifying my roles and trying something different."
Embracing deglamorized roles in meaningful cinema, Meera shared her journey, stating, "My venture into meaningful cinema began with the film Section 375. Following its success, I started receiving offers for diverse roles, and I eagerly embraced this new path. Playing different characters has always been a personal aspiration, and I am content with the way my career has unfolded."
Discussing her role in Safed, Meera empathetically noted, "In this film, I portray a widow, delving into the challenges faced by these women, particularly young girls. Safed, being an hour-long film, will be released on Zee 5. We approached the subject with great sensitivity, and we hope to receive immense respect for Safed."
Switching gears to her personal life, Meera joyfully revealed, "I am on the brink of a significant change in my marital status. In just three months, in 2024, I will be entering a new phase of my life. It is shaping up to be my best season both professionally and personally. My fiancé is not from the industry; he has his own business."
