Lal Salaam, Thangalaan Planning To Move Away From Announced Dates

Tamil Biggies Tend To Postpone ?

Two Tamil Biggies, Lal Salaam where Rajinikanth plays extended special role and Thangalaan headlined by Vikram are much awaited among cinephiles of not only Kollywood but of entire south india. Laal Salam directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth has Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in lead roles, while Thangalaan is directed by acclaimed director Pa Ranjith.

Laal Salaam is scheduled to release for Pongal, 2024 and Thangalaan announced its released date for Republic day, January 26, 2024. Now, reports suggest that both the films got pushed to other dates due to various reasons. While Lal Salaam has been moved to January 26, 2024, Thangalaan postponed to March, 2024.

Rajinikanth’s ‘Lal Salaam’ will have to face stiff competition from two other highly anticipated films - Dhanush’s ‘Captain Miller’ and Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Ayalaan’. Both Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan have a huge fan following and their films are expected to perform well at the box office. Therefore, the Pongal 2024 box office is likely to witness a three-way clash, which could affect the collections of all the films. However, according to some sources, Rajinikanth’s ‘Lal Salaam’ makers are reconsidering their release date and might postpone the film to January 26, 2024.
