Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy shooting his next, Thalaivar 170 directed by TJ Gnanavel, the director of acclaimed 'Jai Bhim'. The film started rolling in October and already done with a couple of schedules. It has an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, and Dusshara Vijayan.
Lyca Productions is bank-rolling this project. The film carries a social message where Rajinikanth plays the role of a police officer who deals with fake encounter killings. Anirudh Ravichander is in charge of the music department, marking his fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth after Petta, Darbar, and Jailer.
Thalaivar 170 Teaser Date
Now, the makers are planning to reveal the teaser on the eve of Rajinikanth's birthday, 12 December. The film is currently canning crucial scenes between Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil at Chennai. Already Rajinikanth scenes with Rana Daggubati and Amitabh Bachchan were canned in Mumbai schedule. Update about Rajini's film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Thalaivar 171 is also expected on 12 December.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will be seen in a cameo role in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's film, Lal Salaam. He is playing the role of Moideen Bhai in the sports drama film, which is slated to hit theatres during Pongal 2024. Along with Rajinikanth, cricketer Kapil Dev will also be seen in a guest role in the film.
