Nargis Fakhri on dating Ranbir and Shahid. Nargis Fakhri recently opened up about the persistent rumors surrounding her personal life, particularly during the time when she was linked with her co-star Ranbir Kapoor. Making her Bollywood debut in 2011 with Imtiaz Ali's "Rockstar," Nargis shared insights on how the speculation about her relationships, including one with Shahid Kapoor, took a toll on her.
During an interview, Nargis candidly addressed the dating rumors, stating, “It used to drive me insane. One time there was an article that said I moved into Shahid Kapoor's apartment. I wish I had saved these articles and that my mom came down to visit and meet him. And I had people messaging, ‘Oh, your mom is in town?' What the hell, my mom never even came here. So, I had to get used to all of that.”
Nargis reminisced about a particular incident where she landed in controversy due to a lesbian remark made amidst the ongoing dating rumors. Recounting the moment, she shared, “A reporter came up to me and said, ‘Oh, how does it feel to be enjoying the B-town stars' and she said it in a way like she was insinuating something. They were writing so many stories about different people. I don't even know anyone yet. I just told her, ‘Well, I am waiting for you to turn me into a lesbian,' and that was the headline; I got into trouble. I was being sarcastic. But her face dropped, and she walked away. Those were interesting times.”
Having originally hailed from the US, Nargis ventured to India for her debut Hindi film. Following "Rockstar," she graced the silver screen in films such as "Madras Cafe," "Main Tera Hero," and "Housefull 3." Her upcoming projects include "Tatlubaaz" and "Hari Hara Veera Mallu." Nargis continues to navigate the Bollywood landscape with resilience and grace.
