Ranbir Kapoor has been considered as next big thing in Bollywood ever since his debut. But, from time to time he scores a big hit followed by failures. This uneven graph has delayed in attaining super stardom. He scored a huge blockbusters with Barfi and Yeh Jawaan Hai Diwaani, everyone thought that his era would begin. But, back-to-back disasters with Besharam, Roy and Bombay Velvet has kept his career in doldrums.
He scored his career's biggest blockbuster with Sanju, a biopic of Sanjay Dutt directed by Rajkumar Hirani. But, his long await to score a mass blockbuster remains as a distant dream. Finally, the opportunity knocked his door with 'Animal'. Arjun Reddy / Kabir Singh director Sandeep Vanga presented Ranbir in a mass and action role. Ranbir brings the much needed intensity with his impeccable performance to the role.
A few weeks ahead of the release of the much-anticipated film of the year, Animal, a behind the scenes picture of its lead actor Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was circulated across social media. In the picture shared by several fan pages, Ranbir Kapoor and his director can be seen engrossed in a conversation while sitting on chairs in the outdoors. In the picture, Ranbir can be seen in wearing a jacket and sporting one of his looks from the film Animal. Sandeep however kept it simple in a jeans and jacket.
Earlier, Animal was slated to release on August 11 this year and it would have clashed with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi's OMG 2. However, the makers shifted the film's release date to December this year. Gadar 2 was a smash hit at the box office, while OMG 2 was moderately successful.
A couple of songs from the film got released and became chartbusters already raising the prospects on the film. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, other than Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. The film will hit the screens in multiple languages on 1st December.
