Anirudh accused of copying LEO track. Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj's latest blockbuster, 'Leo,' continues to create waves at the global box office, with reports confirming an astounding Rs 400 crore in earnings worldwide within just four days of its release.
One of the standout elements of the film was the exceptional work of composer Anirudh Ravichander, who received significant acclaim for his background music and songs. On October 23, in response to fans' requests, Anirudh, along with the film's creators, released the 'Original Person' song on YouTube.
The song, however, bears a strong resemblance to 'Peaky Blinders,' which led some to notice that it bore a striking resemblance to artist Otnicka's track 'I'm no outsider.' Anirudh Ravichander had been enjoying a streak of success with 'Jailer,' 'Jawan,' and 'Leo,' earning praise for his remarkable musical contributions.
On October 23, when Anirudh unveiled the 'Original Person' track on YouTube, concerns were raised about its similarity to 'Peaky Blinders'' 'I'm no outsider' track by Otnicka and Duke Luke. In response to fans' inquiries, Otnicka expressed his unawareness of his song being used in 'Leo.' He also highlighted, "The label does not own the copyright and cannot grant a license without the artist's knowledge. No one contacted me or my team."
