LEO makers approach court for special shows permission

Fans pressure: LEO heads to Court

LEO makers approach court for special shows permission. The anticipation for 'Leo,' the collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been steadily building in recent weeks. The film is poised for a grand theatrical release in just three days, and it's been making headlines. Earlier, Seven Screen Studio, the production house behind 'Leo,' sought the Tamil Nadu state government's permission to allow early morning screenings of the film. In response, the government issued an order permitting theaters to host an additional show for six days, commencing on October 19.

According to the government's directive, the first show can begin at 9 am in Tamil Nadu, concluding at 1.30 am. However, in other states, 'Leo' will see even earlier releases, as early as 4 am. In light of this, the film's producers have taken the matter to court to seek permission for these early morning shows.

'Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Leo' is unquestionably one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2023. Fans are curious to discover whether it will become a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

On October 16, the producers of 'Leo' filed a writ petition at the Madras High Court, requesting authorization for early morning shows at 4 am and 7 am on October 19, as well as 7 am shows from October 20 to October 24. Justice Anita Sumanth, who presided over the case today, adjourned the hearing to October 17.

Notably, earlier this year, early morning shows were suspended for all films following an unfortunate incident during the screening of a popular Tamil movie in Chennai in January 2023. Since then, theaters have refrained from screening films before 9 am.

'Leo' is an action-packed thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The screenplay has been jointly crafted by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar, and Deeraj Vaidy. Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha, and Sanjay Dutt play lead roles, with Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Priya Anand, and Mansoor Ali Khan in supporting roles. The film promises to be an exciting cinematic experience for all.
