Superstar Rajinikanth after almost two year break delivered blockbuster with Jailer. His last release was Annatthe / Peddanna which was released in 2021. He is busy with continuous films. He has already completed 'Lal Salaam' directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and is due to release for Pongal.
His next, #Thalaivar170 in Gnanavel's direction was launched last week and started its regular shoot already. He has also announced his next Thalaivar 171 in most happening director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Direction. Lokesh is awaiting the release of his latest film LEO starring Vijay which is slated to release on 19th October.
Lokesh after the release of Leo takes a short break and starts working on the pre-production of #Thalaivar 171. He will kickstart the film's shoot from Summer, 2024. The film will start rolling in April once Rajinikanth is done with Thalaivar 170. Lokesh has wrote the story even before the release of his first film Maanagaram / Nagaram for his friend. When he narrated the line, Rajini instantly liked it and thus the project got on track.
Speaking about his retirement plans, Lokesh revealed that he doesn't want to continue in the film industry for longtime and this after making 10 films he wanted to retire by just tweeting 'good bye'. But, he kept that thought aside for now as he was told by his fellow filmmakers to withdraw his decision, said Lokesh Kanagaraj in his recent interview.
