Chandoo Mondeti on projects with Naga Chaitanya and Suriya

Suriya to touch Vedas, Chaitu to Pak

Chandoo Mondeti on projects with Naga Chaitanya and Suriya. Chandoo Mondeti captured the imagination of the entire nation with his spiritual thriller Karthikeya 2 with Nikhil. Movie lovers are waiting eagerly for Karthikeya 3. It is known that Chandoo Mondeti is set to direct Naga Chaitanya in his next. He will also work on Karthikeya 3 script.

Couple of days back Chandoo Mondeti met versatile actor Suriya. Suriya for a long has been planning to do a straight Telugu film. Now speaking to scribes, Chandoo Mondeti shared the secrets of his projects with Naga Chaitanya and Suriya. On his project with Naga Chaitanya he said ": It will be a very interesting and gripping entertainer. It would also showcase young actor Naga Chaitanya in a new light. He is going for an image makeover to fit into the role of a humble fisherman. The story takes place in some villages of Srikakulam, where people are fishermen by profession. The film marks the trials and tribulations of fishermen who spend the whole year in the midst of the sea and spend just a few days with their families. The struggles of families of fishermen when the latter are stranded in Pakistan form the crux of the story.'

On his project with Suriya, he shared "It is always great talking to Suriya sir since he is quite encouraging and friendly too. I was on cloud nine, when Suriya talked about my film ‘Karthikeya 2’ by vividly remembering various shots from the film. Every meeting with him has been quite enriching for me. I am going to make a film about four Vedas-Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda- with him and it would be a socio-fantasy kind of movie and we are both quite excited about it. Although he will be busy for another one and half to two years,  he calls me to check about the progress in the script, which is quite amazing."

About Bollywood dreams, he said "I have been in touch with B-town stars like Hrithik Roshan and Kartik Aaryan for some time. In fact, I wanted this fisherman story to be made in Hindi with Kartik Aaryan, but later we found a perfect match in Naga Chaitanya and began to shoot in multiple languages. I would love to do a straight Hindi film since we can reach out to a wider section of audience and explore more universal themes."
