Praja Rajyam party chief K Chiranjeevi was slightly injured on his head on Saturday while he was leading a rally in Macherla in Guntur district.
The actor-turned politician is touring the state extensively organising rallies and roadshows to rebuild the party’s image was unruffled by this incident and continued his rally in Macherla.
A party worker, in his over-enthusiasm, threw a flag at Chiranjeevi asking him to catch it in a filmy style. The actor would have caught it without a second thought, had it been a film shoot.
Unfortunately it was a real life situation. The flag along with the stump bumped on Chiranjeevi's head. The entire rally came to a halt for a few minutes. A film director would invariably call for a ``pack-up'' for the whole team in case of an injury during a film shooting.
But the PRP leader was both an actor and as well as the director in this case. He could not call off the shooting schedule for his followers. The rally resumed.
The police accompanying the rally caught hold of the person who threw the flag at Chiranjeevi. However, Chiranjeevi let off the enthusiastic party worker and the rally proceeded peacefully as before.
