Hyderabad, Aug 29 :
Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy, the brother of the Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, was on Saturday declared unanimously elected to the State Legislative Council from the Kadapa Local Bodies Constituency.
As the other contestants have withdrawn from the race, Mr Vivekananda Reddy has been declared unanimously elected to the Council, Congress sources here informed TNN on Saturday. Mr Reddy has a lot of clout in Kadapa, the home district of the Chief Minister. The unanimous election of Mr Vivekananda Reddy is hailed by a cross section of people in the district.
