The Congress party came to power in the State due to the efforts of the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and youth Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, said Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Dr P Shankara Rao.
He told the media here on Tuesday, that the Congress party wrested maximum seats in 2009 Assembly elections due to the efforts of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and not because of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
He alleged that the son-in-law of the former chief minister, Anil Kumar, was looting huge properties in Telangana region.
The Congress MLA charged that there were irregularities to the tune of Rs 2 lakh crores in the awarding the lease of Bayyaram mines in Garla to a private company.
“The irregularities and persons behind the scene will come to light in a phased manner soon,” he stated.
He also expressed displeasure over the leasing of mines in Telangana region to non-locals by the State Government. He also demanded probe into awarding the lease of Bayyaram mines in Garla to a private company.
