The Andhra Pradesh State Legislature Assembly Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday suspended three Majlis-e-Ittehd-ul-Muslimeen (MIM) members from the House for making unwarranted comments against him.
When the House met for the day, the MIM members Akbaruddin, Rasool Khan and Bhasha Khadiri, during question hour, asked the Speaker to give permission to raise alleged irregularities in the construction of Indiramma Houses.
When the Speaker rejected to give permission, the MIM members trooped into Speakers podium and staged dharna. Later they had an argument with the Speaker and MIM member Akbaruddin made some unwarranted remarks against the Speaker.
The speaker asked the MIM members to withdraw their comments. However, they did not oblige. When the members unrelenting, Legislature Affairs Minister K Rosaish moved a motion suspending the MIM members from the House. The House adopted a resolution suspending the MIM members unanimously. Then the members were suspended from the House.
