PCC president D Srinivas and Chief Minister K Rosaiah held discussions with district level leaders of Adilabad district here on Friday.
The discussions revolved round the ensuing by-polls in Telangana region. The CM, asked the partymen not to violate the High Command’s diktats regarding the by-polls in Telangana region.
``We should bide by the High Command’s orders and work for the victory of the party in the ensuing by-polls,’’ the CM said. He appealed to the leaders not to make any statement in the press which contradicts the High Commands verdict.
``We may differ on certain issues like whether we should contest or not , but we have to set them aside and gear up for the coming by-polls ,’’ the CM observed.
Those present at the meeting also included Health Minister Danam Nagender, the minister in charge for Adilabad district.
Later PCC chief DS met Danam Nagender separately and discussed with them about the candidates who will be contesting on behalf of the Congress in the forthcoming by-polls.
