Parts of Coastal Andhra received isolated rainfall but Telangana, Rayalaseema and the districts of Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam reeled under heat wave on Monday.
The maximum temperatures changed a little over Telangana and Rayalaseema and dipped at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh.
According to Met Department sources, the maximum temperature of 46 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad.
Srungavarapukota (Vizianagaram district) recorded a heavy rainfall of 9 cm. Many parts of Chittoor district received good rainfall. Palamaner and Punganur (both Chittoor districts) three cm each while Kuppam (Chittoor dist) recorded two cms of rainfall.
Mahabubnagar, Araku Valley (Visakhapatnam district) and Vizianagaram (Vizianagaram district) one each.
The heat wave conditions in the Telangana and Rayalseems regions may continue for a couple of days, the Met Department predicted.
