The Central Bureau of investigation is planning to set up five more CBI courts in Andhra Pradesh to reduce the pendency of under trial cases in the state.
Of the five courts to be set up, three will be established in Hyderabad while the other two will be set up in Visakhapatnam.
There are 241 cases still in pending in CBI Hyderabad branch while another 164 in CBI Visakhapatnam branch.
The CBI is going to crack a whip on the corrupt Central Government officials in the state. In this regard the CBI has requested the pubic to provide the vital information on Central Government officials in the state who are demanding bribes.
Deputy Inspector General of Police , CBI, VV Lakshminarayana speaking on the occasion said `` the public are invited to provide information regarding corruption or any malpractices against Central Government employees functioning in the state. The information provided to the CBI will be strictly kept confidential.’’
