Probe? Rosaiah sees no need for probe

Setting aside the allegations made by Congress leader Rayapati Sambasiva Rao against ministers in Andhra  Pradesh, Chief Minister K Rosaiah ruled out the possibility of ordering any probe.

The Chief Minister, who came here on Monday to take part in the Prajapatham programme, said ``the necessity of  conducting an inquiry into the corruption charges of ministers  does not arise.’’

Rosaiah even went to the extent of saying ``the party image will not be tarnished even if a probe is not ordered.’’

Despite the searing temperature, the CM took part in the Prajapatham programme with zeal to the surprise of the locals  who turned out in good numbers.

As reported earlier, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, MP from Guntur  urged Congress chief  Sonia Gandhi to take action against the corrupt ministers  in Rosaiah’s Cabinet.  He called the corrupt ministers as ''Madhu Kodas” in the State Cabinet.

Explaining the vigilance inquiry ordered against Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, who is facing allegations of misappropriation of MGNREGP funds, the CM noted that the minister himself volunteered to face a probe to prove his innocence.
